Gauri Pooja is a special occasion in the Hindu calendar dedicated to worshipping Goddess Gauri (another form of Goddess Parvati). The festival usually falls in August or September, during which devotees offer flowers, fruits, and sweets to the goddess.

On this day, people gather at temples or sacred places to perform puja and seek blessings. Married women pray for the well-being and prosperity of their husbands, while unmarried women pray for a good husband.

Gauri Pooja is observed mainly on the full moon day in the month of Shravan and is popularly celebrated as Gowri Habba in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The festival concludes with community feasts after the puja ceremony.
