asya śrī chandra kavachasya । gautama ṛṣiḥ । anuṣṭup Chandaḥ ।
śrī chandrō dēvatā । chandra prītyarthē japē viniyōgaḥ ॥

samaṃ chaturbhujaṃ vandē kēyūra makuṭōjvalam ।
vāsudēvasya nayanaṃ śaṅkarasya cha bhūṣaṇam ॥
ēvaṃ dhyātvā japēnnityaṃ śaśinaḥ kavachaṃ śubham ॥

śaśī pātu śirōdēśaṃ bhālaṃ pātu kalānidhiḥ ।
chakṣuṣī chandramāḥ pātu śrutī pātu niśāpatiḥ ॥
prāṇaṃ kṣapakaraḥ pātu mukhaṃ kumudabāndhavaḥ ।
pātu kaṇṭhaṃ cha mē sōmaḥ skandhē jaivātṛkastathā ॥
karau sudhākaraḥ pātu vakṣaḥ pātu niśākaraḥ ।
hṛdayaṃ pātu mē chandrō nābhiṃ śaṅkarabhūṣaṇaḥ ॥
madhyaṃ pātu suraśrēṣṭhaḥ kaṭiṃ pātu sudhākaraḥ ।
ūrū tārāpatiḥ pātu mṛgāṅkō jānunī sadā ॥
abdhijaḥ pātu mē jaṅghē pātu pādau vidhuḥ sadā ।
sarvāṇyanyāni chāṅgāni pātu chandrōkhilaṃ vapuḥ ॥
