Introduction
The Chithirai Festival, also known as Chithirai Thiruvizha, is one of South India’s grandest temple festivals held at the historic Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The annual re-enactment of these events forms the essence of this festival.
